Skubal is a young pitcher with a lot of potential. He has a good fastball and a developing changeup. He has struggled with control at times this season, but he has the stuff to be a good pitcher.

The Padres are a heavy favorite in this matchup. Darvish is a much better pitcher than Skubal, and the Padres have a better team overall. The Tigers will need to play a perfect game to have a chance to win.
