The National Weather Service Buffalo has confirmed an EF-1 tornado with an approximate maximum wind speed of 90 mph touched down in downtown Buffalo, New York, on Monday afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service, the tornado struck at approximately 12:49 pm. It caused damage to buildings, downed trees, and knocked out power to thousands of residents.
