Cleveland rallies for 115-108 home victory
The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Boston Celtics 115-108 in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series on Tuesday night at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. With the win, the Cavs tied the series 1-1 heading into Game 3 in Boston on Thursday.
Donovan Mitchell led the Cavs with 29 points and 10 assists, while Darius Garland added 22 points and 8 assists. Jaylen Brown paced the Celtics with 25 points, followed by Jason Tatum's 23 points.
The Cavs trailed by 12 points at halftime but rallied in the third quarter, outscoring the Celtics 35-17. They continued their momentum in the fourth quarter, securing the victory with a late push.
The series now shifts to Boston for Game 3, which will be played on Thursday at TD Garden.
